Jefferson Bag PDF sewing pattern

The Jefferson bag pattern is a small to mid size double-pocket bag created mainly for carrying lunches or snacks to and from work, but it could be used as a handbag or carry-all bag as well. More photos will be added soon, thank you for your patience.

Construction with our Bonded Nylon makes this bag resilient to spills, especially if you use BN on the inside as well. 

This is a PDF pattern (instant download). 

Approximate finished size: 10.5" W x 10" H x 4.5" D

Materials needed:

  • Sew HungryHippie Bonded Nylon is used in this video tutorial. 36” x 28”
  • Zippers: #5 size Sew HungryHippie zipper by the yard with 2 pulls. Main Zipper
    Length: 18”
  • DSST (double sided sticky tape) is helpful for zipper insertion and straps
    attachment.
  • Olfa 505 Temporary Adhesive spray helps with layers but is optional.
  • Steam a Seam Lite2 : two sheets 9” x 12”
  • SF101 or equivelant 1 yard
  • Foam Interfacing (non-fusible) 18” x 30”
  • 1 package Wright’s Extra Wide Double Fold Binding or FOE (2½ yds)
